I was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. I’ve been in the construction trades for my entire adult life. I started out driving a truck for a local HVAC company, and progressed through that trade to eventually open my own shop up in 2011.
We ran a successful business: able to provide professional service, affordable pricing, and individual attention as owners/operators. All was well and good until our son got a little older and I slowly realized how much I was missing out in life.
In 2019, my wife Amy and I made a decision to slow down. We sold the business, our house, a small river cabin and our shop to purposely move to the Ozarks. We were coming from a metropolitan area with over 1 million people to Mansfield, Missouri with a population of under 1500.
I wasn’t interested in the challenges of starting over in HVAC in an area that is already saturated with companies, and quite frankly I had burned myself out. One thing I know about myself is that I’m not a great employee, and am much happier being in control of my own destiny.
Enter Southeast Cultured Stone. This company was started in 2007 by Rory Davis. After a decade plus, he was looking to move on to another venture, and we acquired the business in April of 2020.
One of the universal truths I’ve learned being in business for yourself, especially a small business, is that good customer service is key to success. Whether you’re working on a dead A/C unit, or helping someone pick out stone for their dream home, a satisfied customer is your best advertisement.
My #1 goal is the satisfaction of my customers, no matter what it takes. Small businesses cannot afford unhappy customers, and I pride myself on being able to solve customer issues to get people what they need, when they need it.
Although the last 18 months have been particularly challenging for us, being an independent distributor for ALL the stone manufacturers in the area allows us the flexibility to overcome supply chain issues, as we can work with many different manufacturers.

We don’t have a large showroom, we don’t have multiple locations, we don’t have 20 years in the industry (yet), but what we do have is my personal guarantee that you will be happy with the service we provide.
We will ensure that this one small part of the building/remodeling process goes as smoothly as possible.
We are here for the homeowners, designers, architects, general contractors, and stonemasons.
We are family-owned and -operated, and we live in the community we serve.
We are an independant stone distributor, so we are not restricted to any brand or manufacturer.
We deliver all across the Ozarks, from Columbia, MO to Northern Arkansas, from Thayer to Eastern Kansas, and all points in between.
We can provide a list of recommended installers in your area to help complete the job for you.
We can supply all the necessary materials to complete the installation: wire mesh, mortar, and so on.
We are available ANY time via text, phone or email — we’re always available, not just from 9 to 5 Monday through Friday.

We have an 11 year old son, James. We have 2 rescue German Shepherd mix dogs, Ace and Stella, and 1 kitten, Pete the Cat.
As a family, we enjoy all the natural beauty that the Ozarks have to offer. We recently started kayaking the Jacks Fork river.
In my spare time, I enjoy everything about autosports. I’ve been active in the SCCA Rallycross program for the last 7 years. I also enjoy finding, fixing and collecting old Volkswagens.
I feel blessed to be able to combine some of my pleasures in my new found adventure — I love driving the backroads of the Ozarks. Coming from a land of flat corn fields, I am in awe every day at the beauty that the Ozarks has to offer.
